Part of the aging process, unfortunately, is a drop in collagen and fatty levels in our face causing a loss of volume. Therefore, a surface that was once full and tight becomes wrinkled and saggy in appearance.

A surgical option for a more youthful look is a facelift. A wonderful non-surgical option is the use of safe, temporary fillers. Using filler involves utilizing a small needle to inject hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in your body to key areas on your face – forehead, nasolabial folds, marionette lines (around mouth), lips, and chin. Radiesse® is another product that is synthetic and natural; it is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite.  This is an alternative to the hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and is an option for volume replacement resulting in immediate smoothing of  moderate to severe facial folds and volume loss in the back of the hands.  This procedure takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and the effects last from 6-18 months.  As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Certified Radiesse injector, Dr. Passmore will use her training and expertise to help you achieve the best possble results.

A double chin is a cosmetic nuisance to many men and women. In the past, there was nothing short of surgery to correct it. But now there’s KYBELLA™.

KYBELLA™ is the first and only FDA-approved prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat). The active ingredient in KYBELLA™ is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, KYBELLA™ causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

As the name implies, a chemical peel uses a chemical solution to remove dull, damaged skin cells and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Passmore utilizes several types of highly effective peels. A consultation determines the type of peel that is right for the individual. There are several considerations including the degree of skin damage, the desired outcome, and the amount of “downtime” the client is willing to experience. For maximum results, a series of chemical peels are required at the beginning of treatment, then maintenance peels at regular intervals.

Morpheus8 provides non-surgical skin tightening that results in a younger looking you. By combining micro-needling technology with radiofrequency (RF) energy, this fractional skin treatment can literally double down on the stimulation of new collagen. Targeting the deeper layers of tissue, skin of the face and body can be refined, resurfaced, and remodeled. 

It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew the deeper layers of the skin with almost no patient downtime. Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.

Three sessions are required, generally four weeks apart. Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1-2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see slight redness for a few days depending on treatment parameters. Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure.
